About / Tesco is the market leader of groceries in the UK and operates in seven countries across Asia and Europe. The new store concept aims to change peoples perception of Tesco as a bit ”big-and-cold” to a more inspiring, warm and friendly retailer. Conceptual idea: Big on the outside but inspiring, homely and helpful on the inside. And with added omni-channel solutions like click-and-collect, mobile self-scan, in-store interactive screens, and a convenient take-away offer the concept aims to vitalize and re-energize the brand. The pilot store opened in Swansea in June 2017 and was a collaborate work by BLINK, Wolff Olins and Tesco's in-house design team.
